Unit Cost Databases seamlessly load directly into D4COST. These massive unit cost databases give users the ability to fine tune any building cost model or create building cost estimates from scratch.
The philosophy of cost modeling on which D4COST operates is maintained in the Unit Cost Module. Meaning a unit may be added (or selected from one of the optional databases) and cost escalated from the time and location the unit cost was incurred to the date and location of the model into which it is being added (the static method of unit costing can also be selected).
These Optional Unit Cost Databases are all built in the CSI MasterFormat ™. Each cost includes the material and labor associated with the unit. All the Trades and Equipment are covered in detail. The databases provide current, accurate construction costs and man-hour data for all aspects of building construction. Costs are based on contractor's prices for materials and prevailing rates for labor. Overhead and profit are included in all costs.
